Sam Nowosielski has been nominated for the Special Achievement Award.

Sam Nowosielski started his career with local football club Carnoustie Panmure, where he attended ANGUSalive events and after four years volunteering he started working with ANGUSalive in 2019 as a supply sports coach, covering a range of sports. He was influential in the creation and development of programmes including a range of football programmes and how the community clubs use ANGUSalive facilities.

Meanwhile, the Campaign of the Year award is a recognition of extensive marketing work that has gone on behind the scenes to increase the visibility of ANGUSalive’s portfolio across the county.

Lynne Haxton, Sport & Leisure team lead said: “We are thrilled to be nominated in these categories. It recognises the great work the team have been doing over the last twelve months.”

She added: “I am so pleased for Sam, who is a great example of how progressive a career can be with ANGUSalive, starting from a highly valued volunteer to securing a permanent position with us. We wish everyone the best of luck on the night.”

Sam added: “I’m humbled to be nominated for a special achievement award and it was certainly unexpected. It’s great to be recognised but deep down I just love what I do and it’s a big thanks to the local community that I work with, and ANGUSalive for helping develop me at this stage in my career”.

The winners will be announced at the MacDonald Inchyra Hotel (Falkirk) next Thursday (November 16), where the SLNG event will be held.
